As you are aware, QNet recently battled a series of cyber-attacks known as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS). Due to this, you were unable to access our website www.qnet.net for some time. We are pleased to inform you that we are now back online and you can freely conduct your transactions on www.qnet.net!
If some of you are still unable to access www.qnet.net, it is simply because the process of moving our system back onto the www.qnet.net domain name takes up to 48 hours. Meanwhile, www.qiportal.net continues to operate normally and is available to those who cannot login to www.qnet.net.
We assure you that this was not a hack into our system, and at no point was your data ever compromised. The DDoS attack merely blocked our customers’ access to our services. As an established e-commerce company with a busy trading portal, we were targeted in the same fashion as other large companies such as CNN, MasterCard, PayPal, Facebook.
Our IT team has done a brilliant job of fending off these attacks while ensuring that your business was not interrupted. They continue to work round-the-clock with cyber-security specialists to counteract these attacks and further strengthen our systems. We will be able to deal with any such similar disruptions much faster in the future.
Please note that we deliberately kept our website offline for some time as the number of these attacks increased substantially and we did not want your transactions to be interrupted while we worked on mitigating them.
We thank you for your support and patience during these past few days.
It’s now business as usual – Welcome back to www.qnet.net!
