We have always believed that the wonderful food at Prana’s vegetarian Amala Restaurant deserved recognition, and now it has received the country’s highest accolade of all — Amala has just been included in Thailand Tatler’s Thailand’s Best Restaurants 2011 guide, a renowned and respected guide featuring all-new reviews of Thailand’s top restaurants. It is the definitive resource for all gourmets and food lovers in Thailand.

Amala was secretly assessed by ‘mystery diners’ who came incognito to the restaurant so as to be able to review the food in a fair and unbiased manner. They awarded Amala an astounding and impressive rating of 9 out of 10, for all four categories of food, wine, service, and setting; 9 represents a level considered excellent to exceptional.

Wendy Phay, General Manager at Prana Resorts & Spa exclaims, “We are so thrilled to be recognised as one of Thailand’s best! Being listed as one of Thailand’s Best Restaurants 2011 by Thailand Tatler is truly an honour, especially for a purely vegetarian restaurant. This recognition just shows that vegetarian food isn’t boring, tasteless ‘rabbit food’ like the misconception that most people have, but it can be as delectable and enticing as any type of cuisine. And that’s what Amala offers!” Wendy also gave special thanks to the Prana team, especially the Kitchen and F&B teams who work consistently to deliver exceptional quality food and service to the guests.
