After what seemed like the longest ‘summer break’ ever, Formula 1 is back on the track this weekend for the Belgian Grand Prix!
This will be a special race for our guys over at Marussia Virgin Racing, as this is the home race for MVR’s Belgian driver Jérôme d’Ambrosio. You can bet he is pumped for the mega race, and so is his entire home country – do you know it has been 18 years since there was a Belgian F1 driver in the Championships? So of course, the whole of Belgium has been waiting for this GP ever since MVR announced d’Ambrosio as their new team driver.
And you know what that means… not only will millions of QNet IRs be cheering on MVR, but so will the entire country of Belgium! And so will I, of course!!
As usual, stay tuned to my Tweets at www.twitter.co/VFan for some behind-the-scenes action from the team and the track! My spies have been deployed and are ‘on-track’ to give all the MVR F1 goss to QNet fans all over the world! And as for the team, they are determined to continue their streak of strong two-car finishes, which would make Spa-Francorchamps their sixth two-car finish in a row.
And they team won’t be alone in their mission… Spa is widely considered the most challenging track left in F1 and is also plagued by unpredictable weather – weather that can be different depending on where you are on the track! – so there will be plenty of teams focussed on getting both their cars home safely… and quickly!
In case you haven’t realised, we’re rather excited about this race!
Oh, and if you entered the competition to join QNet and MVR at next month’s Singapore Grand Prix – the next big race for QNet – then you will want to be sure to check back on my blog www.qnet.net/VFan on Sunday after the big race in Belgium! You may be one of the lucky winners who will join me, QNet and the Marussia Virgin Racing team for the only night race of the season in Singapore!
In service and in racing,
