QNet Booth Visited by Malaysian Minister of Trade at MIBEX 2011, Jakarta
The hugely popular Malaysian-Indonesian Business Expo (MIBEX) 2011 just ended. Held in the up-scale Jakarta mall Senayan City during 17 – 19 November 2011, no less than 50 Malaysian companies participated in MIBEX in Indonesia, offering various opportunities in food and beverage, training and education, healthy food, tourism and lifestyle products. Presented by the Malaysian Ministry of Domestic Trade and Franchise Malaysia and supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, MIBEX provided a conducive platform for entrepreneurs from both countries to explore opportunities and new avenues for business development. MIBEX was also seen as a vehicle to facilitate networking between businesses and government agencies from both countries.
After the opening, the Malaysian Minister of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism, Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob, visited QNet’s Booth at the Expo. While admiring the range of products displayed, the Minister expressed his hope that entrepreneurs from both Malaysia and Indonesia will take full advantage of the ASEAN market in developing their business.
Earlier, officers from APLI (Indonesian Direct Selling Association) and the Indonesian Ministry of Trade also came to see the QNet team at the booth and shared their opinions on local franchise and the direct selling industry.
The QNet team, including General Manager of QNet Malaysia Vincent Goh, Project Head of Vigilant (a QI subsidiary) Senthil Sadaperam, Legal Counsel of QI Cassandra Chin, assisted by QNet Indonesia personnel, were happy to welcome guests and networkers at the booth who not only came from Jakarta, but also from Bandung and Semarang in Central Java.
Corporate Communications Manager for Indonesia Wita Dahlan commented “QNet is proud to support both Ministries’ activities; this kind of exhibition is advantageous to many, especially for QNet’s existing IRs.” AVP Hendra Nilam, who was also at the booth with some of his team added, “This is also a chance to meet those who have been inactive – they can see our current products and hear some updates first hand.”
