QNET Player Escorts programme kick off at 2012 ACL Season
The QNET-ACL Player Escorts made their first appearance this year at the exciting match between Al Gharafa and Al Hilal on 21 March 2012.
Played at the Tani Bin Jassim Stadium in Qatar, the exciting match ended in a draw but not without a few unforgettable turn-of-events.
QNET invited a group of 22 DPS Indian school students to escort the players of both teams out to the field before the match. Aged between 10 and 14, most of them were avid football fans and were thrilled to have been given this rare opportunity to meet and interact with their favourite players. Dressed in QNET jerseys and caps, each one walked out onto the field, surrounded by screaming Al Gharafa fans – the game being played on the home ground of the team.
After an electrifying start, the lucky school students were able to enjoy the game in the comfort of their seats cheering for which team you may wonder? Al Gharafa, of course!
The game was well-attended by a local Qatari crowd and supporters who came from Saudi Arabia to support their club, Al Hilal. The energy was ecstatic, with the supporters cheering for their respective clubs.
Our IRs who were there also got a chance to interact with new prospects and promote the company’s products and services, while spiritedly demonstrating their QNET pride.
The event was well co-ordinated with the support of V Council Mathew Elias, V Council Dr Anil, V Elite Leaders Basil Louis, Rajesh Pillai, Sachin Mathew, and IRs Shaheen and Rasik.
