Max Chilton Races into Marussia F1 Team Reserve Driver Position!
GO Max Chilton! The newest edition to our very own superstar Formula 1 Marussia F1 Team! In the position of the F1 Reserve Driver, Max will certainly have his chance to show his true racing talent after winning round nine of the championship in Hungary from pole position last month, holding him currently in fifth place in the standings.
The 21 year old Brit from Surrey will be starting his Marussia F1 Team journey at next week’s Suzuka Japan Grand Prix 2012, and has been locked in as Reserve Driver for the remaining five races of the season. Having elevated from the team’s Young Driver Programme, Max will now take part in all the team’s race engineering commitments and deputise to either race drivers in the event that they are unable to race.
“Max Chilton’s impressive performances for the team this season have gone far from unnoticed and he seems to mature with each new round. We were all delighted to see him convert that into, first, his maiden pole position and then his inaugural victory in Hungary last month.” exclaims Team Principal, John Booth.
