Tides Turn as Jules Finishes and Max Retires at Monza
It was Max’s turn for a mishap this race following Jules’ collision in Belgium. During lap 5 at Monza, Jules got airborne after hitting the sausage kerb forcing him out of the race.
QNET Sponsored Marussia F1 hoped for better on the home turf of engine partner Scuderia Ferrari with Jules finishing at P18.
Monza is a fast track with long straights and tight chicanes which, in the event, didn’t work to Marussia’s advantage.
“It was a tough race for us today but I did everything I could and nothing more was possible. In the end, we struggled with the speed on the straights and we were not able to improve further. Across the team we know the areas we need to improve on and everyone is pushing hard to get the most from the package,” says Jules Bianchi.
