The unsuspecting audience of 10,000 broke out into deafening applause when world-renowned tennis player and game changer Martina Hingis graced the ‪#‎VUAE15 stage with her winning presence! Martina has been recently in the news for her amazing comeback in Tennis, winning the fifth doubles title of year. She took to the stage with the same energy and dazzled the audience with an insight into her life’s journey and her never give up attitude.

Martina Hingis Welcomed to QNET Family at #VUAE15

Martina revealed how she started playing at the age of 2 and started entering tournaments at age 4 thanks to the encouragement of her coach and her mother, Melanie, who was also a professional player at that time. By age 15, she won the Wimbledon doubles champion, making her the youngest Grand Slam champion of all time. The following year, she became the youngest singles Grand Slam tournament winner and the youngest-ever World No.1. Since then, she has won 5 major singles titles, 11 women’s doubles titles and 4 in mixed doubles bringing the total to 20 major titles under her belt!

‘Being a winner in doubles is all about relationships. It is about putting yourself second so that the partnership can shine’, she said to loud cheers from an awe-inspired crowd.  She also gave us fans a treat we won’t soon forget – she demonstrated her serving prowess LIVE and sent an autographed tennis ball into a frenzied audience.
