Is sugar bad? Oh boy. Here we go again!

Fantastic sources of sugar are all sorts of fruits, raw honey, freshly ground grains, sweet root vegetables like potatoes, carrots and sweet potatoes, and whole sugars like date sugar and coconut sugar. On the other hand, bad sugar includes candy, sodas, junk food and other processed food.

Life and good health are all about balance. When consumed in excess, added sugar can cause weight gain and mood swings among many other things. A high-sugar diet can certainly increase diabetes risk. A study from Harvard School of Public Health has found that adding just one serving of a sweetened beverage to your diet each day ups the risk of diabetes by 15 percent. Prolonged high blood sugar levels can cause serious implications.

A high sugar diet can cause your body to have high levels of oxidative stress, which basically means too many free radicals and not enough antioxidants to neutralise them due to the low level of intracellular glutathione. Therefore, anyone suffering from diabetes or even those with not-so-ideal dietary habits need to increase their antioxidant intake.

Glutathione, the master antioxidant, is the best choice to increase antioxidants in your body cells. It helps reverse the effects of free radicals in your cells. This is where EDG3 comes in. Formulated and powered by Cystine, Glycine and Glutamine- the 3 key building blocks to produce Glutathione, EDG3 helps increase glutathione production in every cell of the body, thus helping reduce oxidative stress its consequences.

Whether you think sugar is bad or good, the bottom line is, you don’t have to avoid any food group to entirely prevent diabetes. Monitoring your intake of sugar, taking glutathione supplements, and exercising regularly will definitely help in managing your overall health.
