1. Bondi Beach

A haven for beachcombers, Bondi Beach is most inviting in the summer. It is filled with gorgeous sun worshippers, surfers, and possible celebrity sightings. You can choose to sunbathe and swim in the tepid waters, or head off to surf shops, quaint cafés, art galleries and cool bars. More energy to spare? Consider taking a short walk from Bondi to Bronte. 2. Sydney Opera House

The breathtaking Sydney Opera House is a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour. This iconic structure, was designed by Jørn Utzon, a renowned Danish architect. You can chill at the many cafés and restaurants found after some hearty cultural sightseeing.

3. Sydney Harbour Bridge

Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge and marvel at the gorgeous sunrise on the horizon as you ascend. Choose between the BridgeClimb Sampler that will take you to the inner arch of the bridge or the Day Climb, if heights don’t give you the shivers. Explore the nearby cobblestone laneways of The Rocks and learn about Sydney’s colonial history, dating back to the arrival of British settlers in the late 1788. 4. Royal Botanic Garden Sydney

Australia’s oldest botanic garden and scientific institution was established in 1816 and is located at the edge of Sydney Harbour. Explore the 75 acres of plants native to Australia and the South Pacific, along with other plant species from around the world. Enjoy a romantic picnic under majestic eucalyptus trees or simply soak in nature’s beauty. The Royal Botanic Garden is surrounded by The Domain, an unfenced botanical parkland that serves as a venue for some of Sydney’s largest festivals and cultural events.

5. Vineyards in the Hunter Valley

The Hunter Valley is just a two hours’ drive north of Sydney. It is famed as one of Australia’s most prominent wine regions. There, you can book a tour to witness some of its 120 wineries. Choose between Lovedale’s fine Semillon or Pokolbin’s Shiraz – or have them both, it’s up to you. Just make sure to sober up before the drive back to the city. If you’d like to take part in sports activities, you can tee-off in any of the three championship golf courses in the region. Try riding a horse across the rolling countryside, and take the hot air balloon ride to admire the gorgeous vineyards from a higher vantage point.
