1. The Palm Jumeirah

An awe-inspiring man-made structure this spectacular palm-shaped sand archipelago was built off the coast of Jumeirah. Easily accessible by car or monorail, the Palm Jumeirah is dotted with jaw-dropping luxury apartments, villas, and hotels. Head out to catch a sight of Palm Jumeirah’s crowning glory, Atlantis the Palm. Inspired by the myth of the Atlantis, an ancient Greek city, this resort is marvelous for sightseeing. You’ll find the Middle East’s largest Aquaventure Waterpark, giant Aquarium and Dolphin Bay. All of these fun activities and sights make Palm Jumeirah perfect for a family stroll.

2. Dubai Parks and Resorts

The recently-opened Dubai Parks & Resorts is a truly larger-than-life attraction you’ll children will surely enjoy. Filled with mindblowing outdoor rides, and indoor activities, it features three theme parks: Legoland Dubai, Bollywood and Motiongate, plus a Legoland water park and the Polynesian-themed Lapita Resort. Your kids will definitely go crazy at Motiongate which features rides from movies like Dragons, Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, and Ghostbusters!

3. Dubai Miracle Garden

Open from November to April each year, the Dubai Miracle Garden is it’s a wonderland filled with beautiful floral displays. The garden features more than 100 million flowers in 70 varieties spread over a 72,000-square-metre area. Among the highlights of the garden are various installations covered in fresh plants and flowers. The park attracts tens of thousands of visitors per week, so it’s best to come early to avoid the crowds.

4. Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall

It’s simply impossible to bring up Dubai and to not think of Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest skyscraper! Defying gravity, it stands at a staggering 830m, and commands your attention. Take the lift to the 124th and 125th floors and see the spectacular views below. Just next to Burj Khalifa is the world’s largest mall – the Dubai Mall! More than just a dizzying spread of retail mania, this mall is also a family entertainment mecca! Catch the spectacular waterfall inside and the water fountain dancing show outside for free! Drag your kids for fun activities in the Aquarium, KidZania Dubai, Caboodle and an Olympic-sized ice skating rink.

5. Desert Safari

Unless you are traveling with babies and toddlers, we highly recommend that you don’t miss out on the desert experience! You will not regret it! Look up companies that offer afternoon and evening safaris, and make sure to book one that will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. Pick and choose from activities such as dune bashing, quad biking, sand boarding and even camel riding. Once you’re all tired from the heat and exercise, treat yourself to a traditional tented dinner and evening entertainment, including henna painting and some belly dancing.
