QNET Chief Information Officer Ivan Woo at the PCCW Solutions Digital Transformation Forum 2018.

QNET is proud and honoured to participate in PCCW Solutions Digital Transformation Forum 2018 earlier this month at the Cordis Hotel, Hong Kong. It is an event where business leaders and technology innovators from across different industries discussed and shared insights on how to achieve operational excellence and create customer-centric experiences through the cloud, analytics, AI, digital and IoT. The keynote speeches and panel discussions addressed how enterprises deliver value to customers and achieve operational excellence by adopting innovative technologies.

QNET CIO Ivan Woo shares QNET’s digital journey and experience at the PCCW Solutions Digital Transformation Forum 2018.

QNET CIO Ivan Woo is one of the distinguished panelists in a discussion on how to elevate customer experience in the digital world alongside business leaders Ms. Yoki Lee, Head of Infinitum (Digital, IoT, Analytics, AI & Cloud) of PCCW Solutions, Mr. Stephen Wong, Chief Executive Officer of Asia Miles Limited, and Mr. Spencer Lam, Chief Information Officer of Vanke Property. The lively and engaging discussion was moderated by Mr. Frederic Giron, VP, Research Director of Forrester.

Ivan went on to share QNET’s unique attributes such as our truly borderless operations and close engagement with our loyal customers base. In the discussion, Stephen Wong CEO of AsiaMiles highlighted the fact that there needs to be support from the senior levels to ride the technology transformation wave and how ROI should be measured by improving customer experience and not just dollar return. “Sometimes, you don’t need BLOCKCHAIN for that. EXCEL will do the trick. “ says Stephen Wong, CEO – Asia Miles.

Raymond Xiao, Alibaba Cloud HK’s Lead Solutions Architect presented applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in agriculture; implementing facial and voice recognition to reduce mortality rate in farm animals such as pigs. Raymond also shared an interesting discovery of Alibaba’s AI beating humans in the Stanford Reading Comprehension test. That’s a first!

Being a part of the event was an eye-opening learning experience, allowing us to learn from other business leaders’ digital journeys and experiences. We are glad to have shared our QNET experience in the forum. We will continue to strive to be one of the best in the industry.
