Indoor air quality is becoming an area of concern for health. The rise in the use of air conditioning, various forms of heating and ventilation and the increasing number of sealed buildings, has led to people being unable to enjoy the privacy of their homes in pure comfort.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reported that indoor air pollution is now three to five times worse than outdoor air pollution, although internal sources such as fumes and vapours from furnishings, indoor moulds and bacteria, pet dander and dust mites, can be controlled.
Over the years, the critical need for conducive indoor air quality has convinced millions of people to invest in efficient air purifiers. What could have persuaded those millions? And did it effectively reduce indoor air pollution? According to Dr. Daryl R. Altman, an allergist at the Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center in America, “Purifiers are part of a multi front war against allergens like dust and pollen.”
Find The Right Fix
If you are asthmatic or susceptible to sinus infections just like me, then, sneezing, wiping a runny nose and coughing is an accustomed routine. When a bowl of noodle soup doesn’t cut it, it’s time to find a reliable fix.
As a sensitive individual who suffers greatly from the slightest exposure to pet dander and dust mites, a review by an established air purifier manufacturer, Rabbit Air caught my attention. It says, that to create an allergy safe zone, cleaning regularly does not guarantee us to be safe from breathing in harmful pollutants. Ergo the need for an air purifier.
Furthermore, Dr. Daryl R. Altman, added that, “The better you do with environmental control — whether through air filtration or things like encasing your bedding — the better your allergies are going to be.”
A study published by Allergy Clean Environments, reported by the Inner City Asthma Study published in the New England Journal of Medicine (September 2004) and co-funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), found that a HEPA air cleaner when used in conjunction with a dust mite proof mattress and pillow covers, dramatically reduced asthma symptoms.
This study involved over 900 children between the ages of five and 11 in seven major metropolitan areas. Children living in homes with these simple environmental controls had an average of 21 fewer days of asthma symptoms in the first year and an average of 16 fewer days during the second or follow-up year. In addition, the benefits of the intervention occurred rapidly. Investigators noted significant reductions in their asthma symptoms just two months after the study began.
Interestingly enough, these findings convinced me to go ahead and get myself my very own AirPure Air Purifier. Since I started using it, I have had lesser allergic reactions and my room echoes ‘rainforest’ clean air quality. Most importantly, I actually sleep more soundly without the usual fuss!
How The Fix Actually Works
According to studies done by Achoo Allergy, due to insufficient air circulation, it is difficult to filter air in a large space. Therefore air purifiers must be positioned six to ten feet away from where you spend most of your time.
I placed my high powered true AirPure Air Purifier unit in my room exactly eight feet away from my bed’s headboard. And guess what? It has been working like a charm ever since! For several long weeks now, I’ve not been having any sort of sneeze fits and my lungs feel a whole lot clearer!
The AirPure Air Purifier comes with a HPP™ Filter System (High Potential Particle filter system) that filters out pet dander, viruses, bacteria, fine dust pollen, dust mite excretions and mold fungi effectively. It is an awesome value for my money because I don’t have to replace the filter – ever; instead, I just need to wash it every two months. In return, I don’t have to carry a hanky everywhere and I’ve bid farewell to early morning puffy red eyes!
So, air purifiers really work! And, if you are one of those people overloading their lungs with bad indoor air quality, it’s high time you check out AirPure Air Purifier under Home Care in your eStore.
