What a busy few weeks it has been for the Marussia F1 Team boys. The journey from Italy to Singapore has been a thrilling ride, especially with Timo and Charles having set alight the stunning Marina Bay Street Circuit during the F1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix 2012 last weekend.
Charles Pic’s driving skills have not only been challenged on the track, but also at the German European Singapore School (GESS), in Singapore, last week during the students’ “F1 in SCHOOLS” project fun-day!
The F1 in SCHOOLS project is a multi-disciplinary educational challenge provided to school students aged between 9 to 19 years, spread across 34 countries. Its objective is to raise awareness of the Formula 1 industry, by changing perception of engineering, science and technology through fun and exciting projects for young people to develop an informed view about careers in the field.
Charles had a great day testing out student designed model F1 race cars that the GESS students had made themselves. He also spoke about his Formula 1 and previous racing experience, answering questions from teachers, students and the local media alike.
