QNET joined more than 100 direct selling companies in Malaysia to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Direct Selling Association of Malaysia (DSAM) held in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, 26th September.

Founded in 1978, DSAM is a national trade association aimed at promoting the direct selling industry as well as act as the de facto voice of the industry. The highlight of the 40th anniversary milestone was a half-day conference followed by a grand dinner.

An eight-member QNET team led by Stevenson Charles attended the conference, while QI Director Mr. Krishna Kumar graced the dinner which was officiated by the Malaysian Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

The highlight of the convention was a Panel Discussion titled ’40 Years of Ethical Direct Selling.’ Earlier, the Chairman of World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA), Magnus Brannstrom presented an exciting keynote address titled, ‘Direct Selling in a Technologically Enhanced Future,’ which provided a perspective  for direct selling in an environment dominated by online sales and e-commerce.

DSAM currently has 112 member companies as a part of the association, and last year these members generated almost RM7 billion in sales. DSAM comprises of members from approximately 50% local companies and 50% multi-national direct selling companies.

QNET is proud to have been a part of the DSAM since 2010 and reiterates its continuous support and appreciation to the DSAM for all their hard work and unstinting efforts which has helped many, as they reach this 40th anniversary milestone.
