QNET Malaysia Brings Ramadan Cheer To Over 72 Charities Nationwide
QNET Malaysia joined hands with Harian Metro (Malaysia’s No.1 Bahasa Malaysia newspaper), in their #HMKotakRezeki2018 charity box programme to donate groceries to the underprivileged during the holy month, reaching out to over 72 charities, welfare homes and orphanages nationwide.
The partnership made the programme more meaningful with the donation of 1,000 bags of rice or 5,000 kg of rice in total donated towards the programme, as part of QNET’s global Ramadan initiative.
“We are blessed with the opportunity to be a part of this initiative during this special time of sharing, compassion and love. The holy month of Ramadan is always special to us because it allows us to practice the philosophy of our Founders which is RYTHM (Raise Yourself To Help Mankind),” QNET Chief executive Officer, Trevor Kuna said.
“We pray and hope that our assistance will make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate, by lifting some of their hardships, and bringing festive cheer into their homes,” he added.
The flagging off ceremony at the New Straits Times Press (NSTP) Printing Plant in Shah Alam was joined by QI Director of Business Development, Mr Krishna Kumar and the Corporate Communications team. After the flagging off ceremony, Mr Krishna Kumar was accompanied by the NSTP group representatives to visit the charity box packing area.
