QuestNet Singapore kicks off the Chinese New Year with Lou Hei Celebration
Celebrating Lou Hei has always been a custom and focal point of Chinese New Year in Singapore, to herald in prosperity and good luck. Over the years, QuestNet Singapore has always celebrated this unique tradition with local networkers.
On 1 February, an auspicious day in the Chinese calendar, QuestNet Singapore opened its doors to local networkers and leaders for a festive Lou Hei gathering. Traditional Lou Hei involves preparing a salad called Yu Sheng which translates to “raw fish”. QuestNet, though, catered special vegetarian Yu Sheng and a vegetarian buffet for over 80 networkers, eager to take part in the New Year festivities. A Chinese New Year celebration isn’t complete without the distribution of red bags containing two mandarin oranges which were also presented to the IRs with other items as they were ushered into the office.
The programme kicked off with Dato’s New Year message which inspired everyone in the room to Make A Difference in 2012. Soon after this exhilarating message, the Lou Hei started. The room was instantly filled with loud and lively New Year greetings of luck and prosperity as the IRs threw the Yu Sheng up in the air with sheer thrill and vigour.
Following this spectacular activity the long-awaited announcement of the Early Bird Bonanza Qualifiers proceeded. Five of the recipients were able to grace the event and accepted QuestNet’s tokens of recognition. Also acknowledged, were the In-Service individuals whose tireless dedication and hard work have impacted the network in countless ways, during the various events and trainings held. VC Dhanalakshmi graced the event as a special guest and gave an inspiring and motivating message to the networkers, which was received enthusiastically by the crowd.
Indeed it was a night of festivities complete with good food, reunions and networking.
Kudos to QuestNet Singapore for another hugely successful event and for the tireless effort put in to make this event possible!
