Statement from QNET regarding the accident involving Maria de Villota
Yesterday morning in Cambridgeshire, UK, the Marussia F1 Team’s Test Driver, Maria de Villota, was involved in an accident while driving an MR-01 race car for the Oxfordshire-based team at Duxford Airfield. Following the accident, the Marussia F1 Team’s spokesperson confirmed that Maria was transferred by ambulance from Duxford Airfield, to a major trauma centre at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, where she is now being treated. Maria regained consciousness, however medical assessments are still on-going.
