To keep things in an edgy level of excitement, The V is pleased to present the V-Indonesia logo on its website!
Composed of three major elements, the V-Indonesia logo is an expression of Indonesia’s diverse culture. It is composed of the shadow puppet, Lord Rama, and Batik — three signatures in Indonesia’s rich heritage.
The shadow puppet, more commonly seen in shadow plays, expresses The V’s appreciation and admiration for Indonesia’s diverse and vibrant cultural heritage. It shows comradeship and unity with the Indonesian people. Shadow plays are more popularly known as Wayang Kulit. Wayang means shadow, which also denotes the concepts of imagination and spirit, two things The V takes pride in.
Another element — Lord Rama, is the quintessential Indonesian hero who is also known as a beloved, wise, and spiritual leader. He is an immensely revered King and inspirational figure to people. Legend has it that Lord Rama is the most skilled archer in the world, possessing the power and might of Vishnu. In the logo design, he is depicted with a quiver of arrows and a bow —a representation of his skill and valour in warfare, and courage as a King.
A renowned Indonesian symbol, the Batik is a cloth that traditionally uses a manual wax-resist dyeing technique. The intricate detail and meticulous execution of this art form is mirrored in the explosive and elaborate colours in the logo. To make a beautiful Batik requires discipline, talent, and patience — the same qualities needed to be successful in this business.
Sophisticated and complex — just like the logo, we aim the same for V-Indonesia 2012. Hope to see you there!
