QNET Supports Malaysia’s Premier Razak Cup Hockey Tournament
The 2019 edition of the Razak Cup Hockey Tournament, Malaysia’s premier hockey event, was supported by QNET, and held from 20 to 27 September at the National Hockey Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. Supporting this prestigious hockey tournament is just one of the ways QNET honours our partnership with the Malaysian Hockey Confederation. QNET is committed to uplifting local team sports, which shares the same core values of direct selling – dedication, passion, sportsmanship, and most importantly, teamwork.
A total of eight teams participated in the Men’s Division One of the Razak Cup, which undoubtedly is the premier tournament in the Malaysian Hockey Confederation calendar. Six teams competed in Division Two. In the women’s section, four teams played in Group A with another four teams in Group B.
The Melaka hockey team emerged champions of this 57th edition of the Razak Cup Hockey Tournament after defeating Johor 3-1 in the Men’s Division One final. More than 2,000 hockey fans were present to watch the exciting final. On behalf of QNET, hearty congratulations to all the winners of the Razak Cup tournament.
Hockey is one of the main sports in Malaysia which sees the country competing at all levels – from the World Cup to regional tournaments. QNET is also the strategic partner of the Malaysian Hockey Confederation which enables QNET branding to be displayed on the sleeves of the national team jersey.
QNET is also the main sponsor of the Selangor Hockey League, which is one of the main State organised hockey leagues in Malaysia. This year, a total of 62 clubs will be competing in various divisions including the age-group categories for both the men and women. It starts in mid-October and will end in early December. Notably, 2019 is the fifth year ONET is supporting this state hockey league.
