QNET, proud sponsors of the Hong Kong Football Club for over five years, were recognised for its continued support by being VIP members at the Hong Kong Football Club (HKFC) Family Day held in Hong Kong last weekend. Apart from the invigorating on-field rugby feast that happened at the Hong HKFC grounds, QNET’s IRs were treated to an exclusive VIP area from where they could watch the exhilarating match between the Natixis HKFC Dragons and Leighton Asia Hong Kong Cricket Club Exiles. The Dragons didn’t slack off, despite having already won their league to enter the semi-finals, and won the match spectacularly.
The off-pitch action was just as thrilling. QNET IRs and their children were indulged with a fun-filled evening complete with a giant bouncy castle, face painters and an evening of post-match celebrations. The most delightful part of the evening was when QNET’s Chief Technology Officer was asked to present trophies to the HKFC rugby teams present that day.
QNET’s relationship with the Hong Kong Football Club stretches off field as well. HKFC visited our Myanmar office end of last year and have since raised funds to help with our CSR efforts at the Mahagandayon Monastery, one of the largest teaching monastaries in Myanmar. The funds raised will be used to build classrooms to help aid the 2000 monks that live there.
