QNET’s European Business, QN Europe, is now a card-carrying member of the Spanish Direct Selling Association or the Asociación de Empresas de Venta Directa (AVD). This is on the wings of our membership with the Federation De La Vente Directe (FVD) in France, a symbol of our commitment to local laws and ethical marketing practices within direct selling. As an official Spanish Direct Selling Association member, QN Europe joins other heavyweight companies like Amway, Herbalife and Mary Kay.
What Is QN Europe?
If you are new to QNET or the direct selling industry, let us introduce you to QNET’s European Wing – QN Europe. We continue to provide direct selling products via e-commerce platforms that are tailored to the European market. Our diverse product portfolio includes homecare, beauty and luxury products developed on the foundation of robust R&D. QN Europe now thrives in Germany, France, Spain, the UK, intending to expand even more expansive as the demand for gig-economy styled opportunities keeps rising.
What Is The Spanish Direct Selling Association?
The Asociación de Empresas de Venta Directa (AVD) was formed in response to Spain’s increasing direct selling numbers in the 1970s. Spain is on the top ten list of direct selling markets in Europe, and as of 2019, had over 250,000 direct sellers contributing to the economy. As part of its functions, the AVD is responsible for promoting ethical direct selling policies and protecting Spanish distributors from illegal pyramid schemes. Being a Spanish Direct Selling Association member means that you have been vetted as a legitimate direct selling company that people can trust.
In Spain, direct selling is regulated by stringent legislation to provide appropriate consumer protection in the trade and retail sectors. All member companies must adhere to the local regulations and the European Code of Conduct for Direct Selling imposed by The European Direct Selling Association (SELDIA) which represents 80% of the European direct selling industry members.
Commenting on this new membership, QNET CEO Malou Caluza said, “It is a great honour to have QN Europe accepted as a member of the AVD just a few months after their acceptance into the French DSA. Our European business has made several changes this past year to improve its online and digital capabilities as a response to the pandemic. All their efforts are paying off as the business is seeing steady growth. I am confident QN Europe will continue to serve the customers and distributors in Spain with the same high-quality experience they have come to expect while upholding the highest standards of business ethics.”
General Manager of QN Europe Jérôme Hoerth commented, “We are delighted to be accepted as an official member of the AVD. Spain has become one of our key growth markets in Europe. More people are becoming involved in direct selling because it is a flexible environment that can provide additional income and entrepreneurial opportunities. Furthermore, direct selling is an industry that is demonstrably resilient amidst tumultuous times, and we believe that it has the potential to fulfil the increasing demand for alternative, or gig-based, opportunities in Spain.”
We love nothing better than being able to prove our dedication to the Direct Selling industry, and more specifically, to you, our distributors and family. Join us in celebrating this amazing new milestone in our history by sharing this story with your friends and peers.
