Waking up early on a Sunday morning was not a chore for nearly 100 members of the staff and IRs from QNET Malaysia, as they joined over 10,000 people who thronged the picturesque Eco Ardence in Shah Alam, for the #AnakAnakMalaysiaWalk2018.
They were among people who represented every fabric of society, sharing their love and enthusiasm for their country which just celebrated her 61st Independence anniversary. QNET Malaysia supported this event for the second year running, after making its debut last year.
As a company that celebrates ethnic and cultural diversity, and employs people from over 30 different countries, this walk was an echo of the values and principles we hold close to our heart. Hosted by The Star, Malaysia’s leading English daily, the 3.5-kilometre walk was organized to celebrate unity among the people of Malaysia.
This year’s walk was very much filled with an air of festivity as QNET Malaysia staff and IRs gathered for photo ops and selfies in front of the giant #AnakAnakMalaysiawalk2018 logo, completing the walk with enthusiasm as they shared the occasion with people from different backgrounds, race and religion.
QNET CEO, Trevor Kuna, had earlier sent a message to all QNET Malaysia Staff and IRs, stating that “Our goal is to help build a sustainable future so that we can contribute to our communities in a meaningful way. This walk is certainly a beautiful campaign to celebrate unity. And sports, art and culture are what I believe to be the three elements that can effectively help to unite people of different backgrounds,” he noted.
Certainly, the #AnakAnakMalaysiaWalk2018 showed the world that people in Malaysia are a unified nation where multi-religious, multi-lingual, multi-cultural and multi-racial people can get along as a united entity.
