Through an exciting partnership with Worldreader, a non-profit organization providing e-reading facilities and digital books to underprivileged schools in Sub-Saharan Africa, RYTHM Foundation Ghana sponsored 50 Kindle e-readers immaculately pre-loaded with 100 books. The e-readers were presented to Achievers Ghana, a development project in one of West Africa’s biggest slums.
Achievers Ghana has a vast e-reading program that caters to over 350 girls with an aim to inspire, educate and equip girls in slum communities. They focus on reading and empowerment through a school-to-school reading program throughout the slum. The program works on the idea of setting up a virtual library with custom-designed e-readers which provides more flexibility and mobility for accessing books, in addition to the convenience in terms of space and cost.
The event was attended by QNET Regional Director of Africa Krishna Kumar and the Chief Operating Officer of Quest International University Perak (QIUP) Nicholas Goh. Krishna Kumar, who has daughters of his own, spoke of how heartwarming it was to see so many bright, intelligent girls in the room whom he referred to as the future of Ghana.
Also in attendance were some of our African Independent Representatives who took time off their schedules to meet with the girls who are benefitting from this sponsorship. The event was a way for them to channel QNET’s core value of RYTHM (Raise Yourself To Help Mankind).

About RYTHM Foundation Ghana
RYTHM Foundation is the QI Group’s Social Impact Initiative that invests in the communities in which we operate, including Ghana and other African countries. Through strategic partnerships, employee volunteering, and community service, we help enact positive change such as helping underprivileged children obtain the resources they need for their education and more.
One of the core focus areas of RYTHM foundation in Ghana is making education accessible for all. Education is a catalyst for social transformation. When we educate our children, we provide them with the tools to not only analyse challenges facing society, but also to uplift themselves and rise above their limitations. This, in-part, inspired our participation in the Achievers Ghana e-reading program.
The RYTHM Foundation strives to enforce the QI Group’s aspirations and responsibility in playing a pivotal role in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
